🎬 Intermission

I’ve been a little MIA lately, and I’m sorry about that. Between healing up from an injury and wedding planning, I’ve been busy resting and signing things (okay, not autographs but plenty of paperwork! 😀). My days have been full… and my to-do list has felt endless.

Catching up on correspondence

This is me lately: pausing, regrouping, and conserving energy, something classic Hollywood rarely allowed its stars between pictures. Once the wedding is behind us, I’ve got a few road trips lined up, film reviews waiting to be written, and more ideas swirling around than previews before the main feature.

In the meantime, you can still find me over on Silver Screen Classics and Nostalgia on Facebook, catching up on movies I’ve always meant to see, and reading the new fabulous Joan Crawford biography by Scott Eyman (which suddenly feels very on-theme).

Thanks for sticking with me. This is just a brief intermission; the show isn’t over!

⭐Actors on Actors: Joan Blondell on Clark Gable

"It was the joy of your life to know Clark Gable. He was everything good you could think of. He had delicious humor, he had great compassion, he was always a fine old teddy bear. In no way was he conscious of his good looks, as were most other men in pictures at that time. Clark was very unactorly."-- Joan Blondell on her Adventure (1945) co-star Clark Gable
